We have a fiberglass front door and recently had it painted early summer. Unfortunately many coats had to be added as the color was originally wrong. We had to take off the weatherstipping and add a smaller (thinner) kind as the door would stick to the original weatherstipping and cause an impression on the door.

But now I noticed air coming through a section near the handle and can see light coming through.

Is there another material I can use to weatherstip or is it pretty standard (thin or thick).
