how can I plug hole in an old mounting block? (vinyl siding)

hi all - my house (Ohio) has vinyl siding and had a hose bib installed originally in a mounting block in a place where the deck interfered with it, on a west-facing wall. I moved it to another location, but am left with the old mounting block with a round 1 inch hole in the middle. I don't mind the block so much, but am not sure how to plug the hole so water, critters, etc. won't come in, without it looking horrible. For now I have a piece of tape over it... i was hoping there would exist a pre-made plug, but that sounds too easy, and I haven't had success with google searches. I do not have any extra siding. The mounting block is white, siding is beige.

any ideas?

thanks,

Lisa
