| I have a ten year old sears 1/2 hp. chain drive opener that keeps getting stuck in the open position chain gets very tight and I have to loosen chain adjuster to release tension on chain will work fine for a few days then lock-up again lights will flash and you can hear motor laboring for a few seconds when it locks up any help would be great! |

| It sounds like your door is opening too far and the trolley is jamming against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. If so, do this: Close the door and then locate the 'up limit' control on the side of the motor unit. Turn this 2 full turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Should do it. |
