just checked the goodman site...you may be looking at a unit that's reach a "certain age"...i'm including the consumer address so you can ask directly...

That's a sign of a bad condenser motor or capacitor or both.

The start capacitor for the fan motor, or the throw out switch in the motor that removes the capacitor from the circuit once the fan reaches speed is bad.

The capacitor is relatively easily replaced, the centrifugal switch is harder (if you can even get parts).

This is NOT the same as the start and run capacitors for the compressor.
