Replace walls after closet mildew?

I live in a apt. condo by the ocean. Some clothing that was in a walkin closet (and unused for several years) was found to have mildew. Washed the walls down with vinegar for a quick solution. Do we need to replace the walls with newer moisture resistant wallboard? One wall faces bathroom (recently redone) and one faces outside which also recently had all bricks removed & new insulation put in. Is replacing walls overkill or does it sound prudent?

Thanks in advance.
