Outside door knobs sun faded

Is there any way to restore the appearance of door knobs and door handles that have been exposed to the weather for 7 years?

They are the orginal door locks installed by the tract home builder in 2001 and are brass or some metal that was given a brass-like appearance. They are faded and discolored from the sun.

I was thinking of buying new ones, but I thought there maybe be some way to clean up the appearance.
