| We are planning to upgrading the outside of the home for efficiency and appearance.
Just shopping at Lowe's and Home Depot we notice large displays of doors, windows and paint but only tiny displays of siding such as vinyl siding. Is vinyl siding now unpopular? |

| Fiber cement siding such as Hardiplank is more popular, although more expensive. Most siding choices except for base line products, including most vinyl, will be special order rather than stocked items. |

| When I worked with Habitat for Humanity and we were building 20 houses a year, we used HD for most materials. Vinyl siding was not one of the HD supplied materials. We used a dedicated siding company for vinyl. Less expensive and better material. |
