Need to build parts for drawers

I have a 73 Dickman MH and has plastic drawers in the kitchen. Their are grooves built in the sides of the drawers and nylon hooks that the drawer slide on when installed. I have a photo of the hooks. I have a couple that have broke and they are not made anymore.

I can make some if I had some 3/8" nylon dowel rod. Unfortunitly I cant find anyplace to purchase it.

Any suggestions?

The attached link is for a chimney brush extension made of 3/8 nylon rod. It might work. Also search the Grainger site for "nylon dowels" they have dowel pins that might do the trick.
