doors not catching properly??

In the summer all the inside doors in our house catch and shut properly, but in the winter the doors do not. There is no way to lock the doors because of this problem. Our house is five years old and began doing this after the first year. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions would be appreciated.

all you have to do is adjust the strike plate. Its the part the latch catches on. If the doors arent catching the plate properly then you more than likely need to move the plate out about an 1/8th inch.
