| I posted a related question to the Appliances forum, got no reply -- I hope you can help!
I have a Sears Kenmore 6 upright freezer, bought in 1987. This is a freezer-only, no fridge box, about 9 cubic feet. It still works like a champ -- except that the door gasket is pretty worn out. I have the model number (198.86261685) and the part number for the door gasket (727765). But as you might expect, nobody is making the gasket anymore for a 23 year old freezer. Is there a way to cobble up a workable door gasket out of another gasket, or out of something else? Lynn |
