Faux Roof Slate

Has anyone used these instead of your typical ashphalt roofing shingle? They appear to be hard plastic? The ones I see installed look real. Are they expensive to install compared with ashphalt? In reading, they get installed one at a time compared to a long strip.

They will cost about 4 times the asphalt shingles. The cap pieces about $6 lf
