Repair stucco on exterior wall...

Posted by stupid48 (My Page) on

I had a freon leak inside the wall where the pipes come out and go into the central air unit. The guy had to cut out a 12"x"12 square of the stucco and found the leak and repaired it. So, looking at the hole, I've got to replace the Styrofoam and tape it, add new wire mesh and redo the stucco with texture. The texture is a pretty rough knockdown. If anyone has seen the standard finishes in Arizona or Nevada, you understand the finish. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this repair and achieve the finish?

Thanks, Chris

My advice is to call a local stucco contractor/mason and get an estimate to repair the opening.

also check with the refrigeration guy for a recommendation. I'm sure this isn't the first time he's had to open a wall.
