| Recently we got hit by lightning. This fried the circuit board on my garage door opener. I replaced the circuit board. However, my garage door still does not close properly. It seems as though the sensors for it to stop when closing/opening do not work. When I try to close it, it will come down, stop, then go up just a bit. After about 5 tries, it finally closes. Is this something I can fix? |

| If the door sensors were bad the door would start down and then reverse to the full open position. Try releasing the door from the opener and close it manually. Check for excess weight and possibly a hard spot where it is stopping now. Try adjusting the down force on the rear and the down limit on the side of the motor unit. |
