| My garage door suddenly stopped working (Sears 1/2 hp opener, been working great til now). When I try to open the door I hear the sound of the motor running but the chain don't move to pull the door. Any idea how can I fix this issue? |

| Stripped white plastic gear in the main box. Very common problem on SEARS openers. Take down model number and go Sears site. They have repair kits for them. |

| Joed is most likely right. The part number is 41A2817 and is available at Sears or any good door opener service company. It also comes with instructions. |
