I have a cedar roof on my shed which is 20 years old. I have some leaks and would like to replace it. Can I install the new cedar over the old ones, or do I have to remove down to the ferring strips?

The right way to do it is to remove the old roof.

Correct cedar shingles are better off being replaced rather than shingled over.
