| Hi, I have a stone wall opening that I want to put a gate between. The stone wall is dry stack, so I cannot place the hinges into the wall. the opening is only about 6 feet, so adding a post (granite, wood) of some sort would close down the opening more than I want. So I was thinking about putting a steel fence post in concrete in the ground and place the gate/pivot on it. I would box out the back side to hide the post and hardware.
Does this sound like it might work? Are there products out there I should consider? TIA |

| Aesthetics allowing, to keep from narrowing the opening, you could put the posts just inside the fence, just wide of the opening. Two gates, one on each side, could meet in the middle. |
