| The mortar has cracks. I checked the HD and saw some products. What product is the best to fill the mortar cracks and how to match the original color? Thank you for your answer. |

| Mortar. If the cracks are significant you need to make sure that there is not a settling or other problem with the wall. The mortar is removed using a plugging chisel or grinder for at least 1/2 inch depth, then new mortar is used to fill the joint, followed by tooling to shape and any clean up needed (if you are neat you can avoid getting mortar on the face of the brick). Matching the color can be a real PITA unless you are experienced or can find out what was used initially (type of sand, mortar mix, any actual coloring, etc.). |
