I picked up a brochure from HD the other week and I see they offer a core option called "Evolution". It is advertised as being 40% lighter than particle board. I am trying to avoid formaldehyde, which I have heard is used in the solid core particle board doors.

Lowes has their version on solid core molded panel doors, which they call "Safe N Sound." They say it is low density fiberboard made from wheat straw and no formaldehyde.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these solid core options?
