Most trash companies also recycle. Waste Management is one that I believe operates in Ontario.

Have you called whomever takes away your regular trash? How about the local community government?

Those things can be valuable. Try putting them on craigslist for $8-10 each.

Railroad ties old enough will have creosote treatment and are not recyclable.

See if you can sell them to someone.
