Exterior paint/patch repair

hi!

In an attempt to upgrade my curb appeal, I recently replaced my front door light, doorbell button, and wall mounted mailbox (and removed a poorly placed flag mounting). I'm loving all my choices but I'm now left with some unsightly marks from the old stuff. What's the best way to go about patching and touch-up painting the space?

Should I use wood-filler or silicone caulk? And is there a trick to matching the paint (I mean my house is white but I'm not sure on blending). The siding is all wood and I live in New England so whatever I chose must be okay I handle every weather type.

Thanks so much.
