I have a Genie garage door opener (branded Overhead Door Python2).

I opened the garage door with the remote yesterday morning. The carriage went all the way back to the unit and seemed to jam. The power would not come back on.

I came back about 30 minutes later, and the power was on. I pressed the open/close button on the garage wall, and the power went off again. I disconnected the door from the carriage and closed it.

I noticed today that the carriage was jammed up against the motor housing. I took the bottom cover off the housing and turned the motor until I got the carriage past the stop.

Still, I can't get the power to come on. I've plugged a hair dryer into the outlet into both plugs and both work.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
