Where stucco meets wood window trim

Posted by charlesmartorelli (My Page) on

I just finshed installing new windows and adding wood trim around the windows. On a few of the windows the trin is not flush with the side of the house. I was planing to add some caulk between the stucco and wooden trim so water will not lay on the wood after it rains. Is caulk the correct stuff to use, I see on most of the preimun calks stay flexible. Would I want the caulk to be hard after it sets.

You want the caulk to stay flexible.
Hardened caulk has no 'give' and will crack and/or pull away with thermal expansion and contraction.
