My condenser was replaced a year ago, with a 13 seer rheem r22 3 ton unit..now my old york heater-cooler needs to be replaced? its rotted upstairs in the pan but still works , do i need to replace it now? its 20 years old or so and the guy quoted a tempstar air handler and the reviews i read said it was really low end. for 1900? is that reasonable and what other brand names should I look at? York which is what i have or Rheem which is what the condenser is?
