| I would like to put vinyl cedar shake siding over a front entry arch in my new construction home and my builder won't do it saying that the rubber j-channels which would need to be used would crack and warp and we would be dissatisfied. I don't understand why this arch is different than the arches over my windows. Does anyone agree/disagree or have a solution for how I can achieve this? We've discussed using real cedar and painting it to match the vinyl, but we would rather just have vinyl throughout. Appreciate greatly any comments to help. |

| If the arches over the windows are the same radius and he's doing those, then (without pictures or more information) I don't see any difference. |
