Ice in garage coming down the wall from the house

We have a two story house with an attached 2 car garage. Since the begining, during the winter months, following a cold spell when the weather warms uo, we see ice forming coming from the 2nd story floor joist (?) dripping down the wall. Never ever seen any water at any other times. There is a bathroom behind there but it is dry, we've been here 9 years and no signs of water anywhere.
My thinking is: there must be an air leak from the house into the garage where the warm air meets with very cold air, condensates and freezes tonthen melt on milder days. Does that sound reasonable? If so, how do I fix thsi? If not, what are your thoughts?
See where water drips on drywall?
And it's not coming from the roof, no water or ice up ther and it's a brand new metal roof with a super duper ice sheild flashing :)

Condensate can freeze on the underside of metal roofing and then drip off when it thaws. Best solution is to minimize the atmospheric moisture. Second best is lots of ventilation for the underside of the roofing so that the condensed moisture evaporates quickly.

not from the roof. The ice comes from where the wood frame and the house sheeting meet (not where drywall and wood, but where wood and house styrofoam? sheeting)

It appears to be coming from the juncture where the garage roof meets the main structure. Could be incorrect installation of the flashing for your new metal roof. Ice/water shield is only as good as the installation.

What we see abov the door, is a second floor
There is no water or ice on that wall, the ice comes where the 1st and 2nd floor meets

How about a picture of the outside of the structure of where it would be leaking. It's all a guessing game without an inspection. However, it would be better to guess knowing a little of how the structure is built.

From the picture, it looks like a service door from the garage, to the house. It appears those are the rafters in the garage. If that is the second floor, it would be a juncture to the main structure from the garage roof. It does not matter where the water is coming out. Water takes the path of least resistance. It can be leaking at the juncture, running inside the wall, and existing where you see it.

You have to help us out a bit here with some more pictures.

That looks like quite a good flow of water. I wouldn't mess around with it, with guesses from the internet.
