Iam looking to buy a laser level to lay lines on my basement floor to put down my wall plates.I bought a dewalt 084 but it only shines a dot and not lines. It can't shine on the floor or in an arc so I can mark ceiling height.any suggestions

A chalk line would be a lot cheaper... ;)

If you want to stay with DeWalt you'll need to step up to the 87 or 89 if you want a line across the floor.

Ryobi makes one---or used to make one.

I have one. Unless I tossed it. They work ok, but are a bear to set up/use.

Chalk box is MUCH better!
