Craftsman Garage Door Opener Safety Sensor

I have an older 1/3 hp Craftman (139.53200)garage door opener that did not come with safety sensors (although they were available as an option:pt#G53710 no longer available) I also have a newer 1/2 hp unit (139.53628SRT) with sensors (pt#41A4373)that are still available for purchace.
Is it possible to wire these sensors to the older units and have them work successfully? If so, how? Or are there other sensor available that will work with the older units? |

| There is no way to add sensors to your old opener. The option available at the time it was new included a logic board. The logic board in your opener will not accept sensors. |
