Ceiling Fan Light-Can't remove

Posted by tjburke (My Page) on

I have a ceiling fan, not sure of the make, but I can't remove the light shade below to change the bulbs. I was able to seperate the light from the fixture ( just connected by the wire) once I did that, it looked like the metal casing and glass shade were one unit. There are no screws holding it on. I tried to seperate the glass from the metal case using my thumb and fingers with out sucess. ANY AND ALL suggestions are appreciated

Try turning the glass shade like you unscrew a jar lid.
