Drywall tape problem where wall meets ceiling

In a 35-year-old apartment bathroom I have a situation where the drywall tape in the wall/ceiling juncture is coming loose on the ceiling. In other words, there is a crack where the tape is letting loose on the ceiling. It's not a hairline crack - it has already separated.

Is there a quick and easy way to fix this? The ceiling is textured (not popcorn, but the old-style "stomped" and painted mud) and I really don't want to get into re-doing that if I can help it.

Clean it up and tape it again. Paint with vapor barrier paint and provide mechanical ventilation for the bathroom. Where is the landlord?

try some elmers white glue and see if you can stick it back down.

Don't want to tape again - looking for a quick and easy fix (see OP).

Already tried Elmer's - didn't work - but thanks.

I'm gonna try an epoxy.

Wet the area to soften things up, push it down and put a coating of joint compound over it. See if that will get it. I don't know how much luck you'll have with an epoxy, but good luck

And you will seriously screw things up for the next repair.
