Has anyone painted their drop ceiling tiles?

| We are finishing our basement and are considering painting ceiling tiles to look like old tin. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this. Can anyone suggest a economical resource for metallic paint? Thanks! |

| I watched a show once where they took texturized wallpaper and placed it on there ceiling tile to make it look like pounded tin. |
