| I have to drywall 500 sf of wall (8 ft ceilings) and I was struck by the cost difference between batts and rolls. Can someone explain the cost difference (per sf) between the two? Batts are more than double the cost. Talk about a price for convenience. Thanks much. |

| That's it. Convenience. If you can wield a utility knife, you can cut your material costs. And if your walls are not the standard batt height, you can get a better installation by having fewer seams when using rolls versus pre-cut batts. |
