Look at Serpentine, it is green, and stays green.

Julia soapstone has some gorgeous dark emerald veining that comes out with oiling or waxing and does not turn black. I saw Smoke soapstone as well that had beautiful dramatic dark emerald green areas. Loved it but got the Julia so that it would not clash with my slightly busy backsplash

I have about an acre of Censa Verde. The green is vivid. It is more vivid with oiling. In the 18 mos or so we have been in the new kitchen and master bath I have only oiled it 3-4 times. We are very pleased with the soapstone. You can rub it a lot if that is your preference.
