jacuzzi/whirlpool tub with shower option?

Hi all

We are remodeling our bathrooms. Its a 1950s house and the bathrooms are small. All bathrooms have showers, thought it'd be a good idea to have a tub in the "master bath". (Its just about 5'x 11.5')

Would love to have a whirlpool or jacuzzi... Is it possible to have a shower option in it?

The other question - If I have a whirlpool/jacuzzi, I don't quite fancy the idea of the toilet next to it. That will push out the toilet next to the door. Is that good idea?
I honestly cant recollect being in a bathroom where the toilet is next to the door.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

You can buy a rectangle tub and make it in to a shower bath combo. We bought our tub which was an overstock model and cheap and it works great as a tub shower. The rectangle tubs work best I think for a shower. Oval tubs you have to have the curtain that goes around the tub and that's a mess. The rectangle tubs you can add a regular shower door to them. The smallest tubs I have seen are 60". If that's bigger then you can use you might have to buy a mobile home tub, but be careful of the quality.

Your space is about the same size as mine, though I know a foot of width can make a big difference. My bathroom is 6 x 11'8. I'm not quite finished with it. I got a whirlpool tub with an integrated tub flange for my tub/shower combo. The location of the sink was moved. It used to be in front of the toilet. I'll try to post some pics.
