I also tried posting over the old house forum. But didnt get any help. Hi. We are in the midst of a renovation of an 1890s farmhouse. We were lucky enough to find the old chimney. The fireplace had had work done in the 1980s. Our vision for this reno is to take this house back to its 1890s charm. When it comes to the fireplace I thought we were on same page. But thwcmasons did this today(pic) need advice. What should it look like. Thanks!
