Gate Post in Concrete

Hi All:

We are planning to change our driveway to entirely concrete, so remove existing asphalt and pour in concrete. Our lot is a Flag lot so as you enter our driveway, its 12ft wide and opens up to the house

I'd like have the option to possibly add a gate in the future at the 12ft wide section. After searching the internet for ideas, one idea I came up with was to have (2) 3" Schedule 80 PVC pipes put into the concrete (as sleeves) on both sides, and then later I can simply slide in a 2.5" rigid steel pipe as the main gate post on both sides. I chose this particular pair of PVC and steel pipe sizes because they will have the smallest amount of "Play" in them to make the post more sturdy without "cementing" the post in for easy removal. In the meantime, I can leave a little stub of the PVC and put a cap on it.

Any problems with this idea? Anyone with a better idea?

Thanks!!
