Pocket Window in New Home

Hello, Hope this is the place to get some info...

I'm wanting to install a pocket window in my under-construction house. The stud wall is in place and I know I'm going to have to modify it in order to handle the track and the rest of the mechanism, but I have no idea how to do this. Do I need to support the timbers around the window (non-load-bearing) and then cut them out, halve them to fit in the window?

I also am having trouble finding any hardware for this. I don't want nylon rollers, I'd love to find steel if possible with ball bearings.

The concept is to have a cool, Arts & Crafts stain-glass window between the master bedroom and the downstairs area that can be slid open to look down at the living room over the stairs... it's hopefully going to be a really good accent above the stairwell on a huge wall that is about 30 foot tall... but the window is only going to be 30 x 30 inches.

Anyone have any suggestions how to go about this?
