??? You could be talking about just about anything here. A much more detailed description or at least a pic would help. One with the decorative parts out of the way.

My GUESS is you have a lavatory fixture with separate valves and separate water outlets. That's all I can visualize.

Poppy, how does this help a drip? I guess if you have zero pressure the drip will stop eventually?

If the stem is too high, you've not resassembled it correctly. You have to exert a little more pressure when pushing in the stem so the "O" rings clear the sides.

The more likely problem is that the handles are not turning the stem. Again reassemble; the splines on the inside of the handle must fit into those on the stem.
