Kitchen Tile Backplash Problem
| | |
Posted by ipurchases (My Page) on Tue, Oct 13, 09 at 15:15
| I just put up my kitchen backsplash tile but just realized the tile is covering part of the outlets. The metal prongs at the very top and very bottom of the outlet are underneath the new tile.
Does anyone have suggestions about what I should do? Can I trim the tile while it's still on the wall? Do I have to rip the tile off? Should I try to cut off the metal part of the outlet? |

| Did the receptacles get installed before the wall finish was installed? |

| The receptacles existed before I put up the tile backsplash. But I was able to cut out the old outlets with tin snips and now I'll just replace them. Thanks! |
