Have you thought about uplight sconces? Three or four mounted 7-8 feet from the floor on the right wall would throw light on the upper ceiling and sloped area to create great indirect lighting. If you use cans, they'll leave the ceiling shadowy and you'll lose the drama of the vaulted area.

Oooh I like that idea...I may do that yet.

I was thinking of 3 cans on the flat ridge, then lamps on the left wall on my en tables. The cans on the slope are really expensive and not worth it to me anyways. I have other fish to fry with that money! :)
