Prepping for new counters, a bit of damage on base cabinets...

I have a townhome that was built about 5 years ago. We've decided to get slab countertops in our main bath and kitchen. Up until this afternoon we had tile (ceramic and granite, respectively). Today, we demo'd our counters in prep for templateing. The countertop place requested that this be done before they come to measure and that our sinks be on site.

My worry is that that subsurface was nailed (and screwed) to the cabinets at 1.5 inch increments all the way around every cabinet and they were VERY difficult to get up because of this. We did our best not to damage the cabinets, however they are particle board and it was imposible not to. They are smashed and split along the edges in several places.

Is this going to need to be fixed before they install, or will most countertop installers fix this when they come to put in the counters? They will be Carrera marble. Any insight is appreciated!
