I just had a bedroom ceiling get new blue board and Uni-Kal plaster. The old ceiling had a popcorn finish.

With the new ceiling I chose a smooth finish.

The problem is that I don't how a newly plastered ceiling, that has not been painted, looks!

Is it supposed to be completely smooth with no lines or imperfections? My ceiling looks smooth for the most part but at night and with the light on, I can see a couple of lines and a few rough spots.

Is this normal? Can imperfections on the plaster be sanded out?

I'm really curious. Would like to know before the plasterer returns to do the living room and kitchen ceilings which are much larger.

Any feedback will be highly appreciated.
