3rd bath or walk-in Closet

We have a 4 bed 2 bath home with the bathrooms in need up updating. Our master bedroom has one standard bi-fold door closet and access to a covered porch. We are considering adding a 5 piece master bath on the covered porch. My question is what is the best use of the existing master bath's square footage. Use it for a master walk-in closet or open it up to an adjacent bedroom for a small on-suite bath leaving room for two standard bi-fold closets in the master bedroom?

Stats on house and area:
House located in Southern California
Neighborhood consists of 1960s 3/2 and 4/2 1/2 + den.
Our house was a 3/2 with the 4th bedroom added.

I'd add the closet space if it was my house.

I would go for the closet, unless there was a compelling reason to have a bathroom in bedroom 2, such as in-laws visiting for extending periods.

Thanks for the feedback. Keeping a second on suite would be for convenience and visiting relatives. With the expense of adding the square footage for a bath it seems a waste to eliminate the existing space as a bath.

The follow-on question is: Are 4 bed 3 bath ranch homes worth more than 4 bed (1 walk-in closet) 2 bath ranch homes?

Unless the hall bath is a great distance from the other bedroom...I'd go with closet. With a new 5 piece bathroom, people will expect a bigger closet. I think that will benefit you more, if you sell in the future.
