We are repainting the exterior of our house and have gotten bids from several painters with good ratings in a variety of consumer web sites. Some bids are for work done entirely by brush and roller; others are for sprayed paint or a combination of spray and paint/roller. Are there any differences with respect to quality or durability of the job between paint that is sprayed on and paint that is applied with roller/brush? We are willing to pay more for a better quality job, but it's hard to determine which painter offers the best value without understanding the pros/cons of the different application methods.
