frame interior wall, something other than wood?

Does anyone ever frame interior walls with anything other than wood? If so, what might be used?

Just a stoopid newb question, 'cause I was wondering if anyone ever built walls that could be easily dismantled...

Lightweight steel studs are great for partitions.

Walls that are easily dismantled are called screens or dividers.

As Casey said---steel studs are often used for non load bearing walls. In my locality, steel studs are required bfor commercial building/framing.

However, a wall framed with wood studs is much easier to dismantle than one with steel studs.
