More than likely need to change both as different brands and series (even in the same brand) are not normally interchangeable. In addition to that Dexter is generally a lower quality brand so your chances of getting a current model to match up are probably very slim.

This is the handle set from the outside. Maybe a locksmith can figure out how to change the inside bolt only?? I'm guessing the inside bolt was added later because it's just bright brass. If it was the original inside bolt, wouldn't it look like the exterior bolt?

There are a variety of commercial brass agers and other techniques to get that look on shiny brass. I've not used any so I can't recommend one.

LOL. weathered brass is very in right now. but i like it more so because it just works with the house. something like this, what i had on our last 2 houses seems too rugged for the house

i'm sure i could find something that works, but it will probably be expensive and since i like the neglected one, i'd rather not spend the money on it. i can use the money towards a faucet etc.
