An inexpensive fix would be to paint the shutters and front door. I would go white with the shutters, the dark really doesn't do much to set off your windows and makes them (shutters) appear too narrow. You can do this yourself with spray paint.

For your front door to stand out try aqua, yellow, or sage. You don't want anything too neon, and I wouldn't paint it red, not enough contrast with your brick, which appears more orange-red from the distance. What colors are you attracted to? Interior decor and what you wear will give you clues.

I wouldn't do a porch. Add some color with a large planter or two and in your landscape.

Your home is lovely, you don't need much!
