What type of kitchen sink do I have: undermount, tile-in, etc?

I have a double-bowl kitchen sink that I am considering either refinishing or replacing. Dimensions are 32" x 21" x 6.5". But I am unsure of itÃ¯Â¿Â½s type - i.e. drop-in, undermount, or tile-in. Look like undermount (tile on top) but seems like undermount sinks have no faucet holes and are typically 33" x 22". On the other hand tile-in sinks seem to be 32" x 21" but appear to have tile next to it, rather than on top of the edges as pictured here. My understanding is that if I were to replace it, I should buy a sink of the same type. Can you help me identify the type?

I vote for a refinish. There is no guarantee you'll get that sink out without damaging a tile or two. Even if you do, what are the chances of getting a replacement with an acceptable footprint? Plan on replacing that sink when you replace the tops.

The style of your sink installation, is tile-in, and it appears to be of an age prior to the evolution of "sink installations."

Today, depending upon your talent, any sink can be undercounted.
There are two basic configurations of "tile-in" installations.
Flat rim where the tile abuts the edge of the sink and the sink and adjoining counter are a continuous plain.
And the configuration you have, where the sink is below the level of the countertop.

You can attempt a refinish, get a good warranty.

Were I having it done, I would remove the grout where the quarter round abuts the sink and after the new finish had been applied, allowed to set and fully harden, install new grout and plan to refresh or change the grout on the balance of the counter.
