We went with CertainTeed Cedar Impressions on the entire house. It's expensive but no regrets - looks beatiful, everyone agrees. I would suggest that you get some addresses from the supplier and compare different styles/colors on the actual houses - that's exactly what we did.

Thanks for your suggestion. I spent some time looking online but of course anything looks good from the Mfg websites! There is very little vinyl of any kind around here - anything that isn't 'real' is considered lower end but I'm not about to deal with the maintenance of real shakes or clapboard with midwest weather. Maybe there is more being used and I don't know it because it looks so good!
