We have a register in the bathroom floor for our HVAC system. Right now, our bathroom vanity is flush with the left wall, with the register right up against it on the right.

We'd like to center the vanity on the wall, but doing so would move the vanity right over the register.

What's involved with relocating a register? Could it be moved about 12 inches to the right? Would it be very expensive/difficult to do?
