Bath and kitchen reglazing ?

I am considering reglazing the tile and bathtub in a bathroom that is used daily by 2 boys. The tub is really scratched and old, however the tile looks great, it is just the wrong color.

I am considering having the same company do the kitchen counters and paint the existing cabinets. It will look like a stone fleck finish on the counters.

The total cost for both would be about $1700. In a few years I would like to gut the entire kitchen. However right now a facelift would be really nice.

Has anyone had any experience with reglazing?

'Reglazing' is just any one of a number of different paints.

Some are epoxy based.

Non are very scratch resistant.

Thanks for the info. I think I will just keep the shower curtain closed until I can replace it at a later time.
